Teaser Tuesdays

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers:

“And that's exactly what I did. I can't say that Shannon was particularly pleased about it, but it really did seem the sane way to handle this.”

~ p.152, What Matters Most - diary of a teenage girl” by Melody Carlson

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

So Many Books, So Little Time

Friday, June 19, 2009

So little time to blog about them, that is. I have been reading more lately since the weather has gotten warmer, I like to sit in the backyard with an icy drink and a good book. I think I've read more books these past few months than I've had all of last year.

I'm a slow reader though, I like to savor words. Sometimes re-reading a favorite passage or reading aloud a particularly lyrical one. Some people can go through several books in a weekend. I'm lucky if I can manage one. It usually takes me a couple of days at least if I read all the way through.

Just Read...

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

I just finished reading Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife: Pride and Prejudice Continues which I got via PaperBack Swap. Some people didn't like the book because they claim it had too many sexual references in it, but I liked it. Stay tuned for my full review as soon as I get a chance to post it.
